What is the highest account on FTMO? ›

Just keep in mind that our maximum capital allocation on FTMO Accounts is $400,000 per trader/strategy. If you are successful and consistent in the long run, your FTMO Account balance can be increased according to our Scaling Plan.

There is estimated to be a 90% fail rate of traders that take the FTMO challenge. The reason behind this is due to traders chasing the profit target with a time restriction in place. A trader doesnt know when a winning streak might occur, or when they may take a string of drawdowns.

In one trading period on FTMO Account, you executed on average 117.9 trades, and we paid you an average of $4,685. However, it's not just about the payouts either. We perceive our project as a support of the whole retail trading industry.

FunderPro: FunderPro is the most popular alternative to FTMO. It has a similar two-step challenge process, but the requirements are slightly more lenient. For example, the FunderPro Challenge requires a 10% profit target in 30 days, while the FTMO Challenge requires a 12% profit target.

Also, the amounts we pay out to our traders are very interesting. We are making you increasingly happy here, too. While in 2020 we paid out a daily average of $39,584, in 2023 it was already $209,973. At the beginning of 2024, the amount we pay out daily exceeded USD 300,000.

At FTMO, we understand that market conditions might vary and that's why we offer our traders a generous 10% Maximum Loss buffer and 5% Maximum Daily Loss. These conditions are in a ratio of 1:1 (loss to profit), which is the top industry standard.

Please note that FTMO does not provide services to persons in/from (both nationals and residents) Iran, Syria, Myanmar, North Korea and USA, persons listed on sanction lists, persons with criminal records related to financial crime or terrorism, and persons previously banned because of breach of contract.

When you lose an FTMO challenge, you won't actually be losing something except for the fee amount that you paid for the challenge. However, you won't be able to continue with the challenge and your eligibility would be lost.

The payouts are processed within 1-2 business days upon confirming the invoice. You can receive your profits by a regular bank wire transfer, Skrill or cryptocurrencies. We don't charge any commissions for withdrawals.

Although it's very dangerous and not guaranteed, it is theoretically feasible to make $1,000 each day through day trading or stock market investing. The stock market may be very erratic, and a lot of investors and traders may lose money.

What is the average return on FTMO? ›

Generally, more caution is exercised on the FTMO account, and as a result, the average gain is lower than in the FTMO Challenge. Profiting in tens of percent are only rare exceptions. As investors, we are happy to see a long-term appreciation of 4-7%.

In summary, if you want to make a living from day trading, your odds are probably around 4% with adequate capital and investing multiple hours every day honing your method over six months or more (once you have a method to even work on).

There is no time limit within which you need to pass the Profit Target, the Trading Period is indefinite. As soon as all the Trading Objectives of your FTMO Challenge are met and your results are reviewed, you can proceed to the Verification phase. The minimum time to complete an FTMO Challenge is 4 trading days.
